FEHAP

Founded in 1936, FEHAP (the French Federation of Private Non-Profit Healthcare and Social Care Providers) brings together more than 6,000 members operating through over 1,500 non-profit organizations across the full spectrum of France's health, social care and medico-social sectors.

These organizations—including associations, foundations, religious congregations, mutual insurance organizations, supplementary pension and provident institutions—employ nearly 368,000 people, representing almost 12% of all jobs within France's Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE).

Combining private management with a public service mission, FEHAP's member organizations are at the forefront of innovation, research and the continuous improvement of care and support services. Governed by representatives of civil society and operating on a non-profit basis, FEHAP ensures that all financial surpluses are reinvested directly into its member organizations for the benefit of the people they care for and support.

Mutualité Française

A leading player in France's Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE), the Mutualité Française, chaired by Éric Chenut, represents nearly 500 mutual health insurance organizations.

Founded on the principle of mutual support and solidarity, these non-profit member-based organizations were created to enable people to protect one another against the uncertainties of life. They are governed by democratically elected mutualist representatives.

The Mutualité Française works to protect the health and social well-being of 32 million people in France. In partnership with the French Social Security system, it promotes universal access to healthcare and contributes actively to the country's public health service.

Its member organizations, groups and unions provide solutions in three core areas: complementary health insurance, disability and long-term care coverage, and retirement savings. Through a network of more than 2,900 mutual healthcare and care services across France, they play a major role in ensuring accessible, high-quality care at controlled costs. They also represent France's leading private provider of health prevention initiatives, delivering prevention programmes throughout the country.

Every day, the members of the French Mutuality pursue their mission through three guiding commitments: proximity, participation and innovation.

Its purpose is clear:"Protecting one another today to build the solidarities of tomorrow, together."
