A French politician, Benoît Hamon has held several positions in the French government, serving as Minister of National Education and Minister Delegate for the Social and Solidarity Economy and Consumer Affairs. He has also served as a Member of the French National Assembly and as a Member of the European Parliament.
Since 2021, Benoît Hamon has been the Executive Director of SINGA Global, an international NGO and one of the most active organisations working to promote the inclusion of refugees and newcomers. SINGA fosters inclusion through entrepreneurship, socio-cultural activities, and community-based hosting. SINGA is Europe's leading network for refugee entrepreneurship.
Benoît Hamon sees this role as a natural continuation of his political commitment.
He is also President of ESS France and President of J’accueille, an initiative developed by SINGA that promotes community-based hosting for displaced people.
